I love Disney. It’s my favorite holiday destination. I collect the movies. I know all the characters. I watched all the movies. I’m Disney biggest fans, simply put. So when Dave (my boss) told me that there was a potential huge project with Disney, I was like.. yeahh bring it on! I did not know it was gonna be this huge but it was really huge. So basically Disney from time to time changes their campaign, the last one before WWYC lasted for a good few years. So this project code “CAKE” was to replace the existing campaign at that time.
We were competing with other agencies but we managed to come victorious with a great team effort. The pitch -which I also posted here- was a good starting point, we worked closely with the Disney team to take the existing pitch to the next level. And working with the Disney team is a whole lot fun. The attention to detail they put in, day in day out was just amazing. There were challenges though, as we were expected to deliver any feedback they’d given on a daily basis. This went on for 3 months until the site launched. It was a pride moment. Sure it was tiring (80 hours a week for the first 3 weeks and declining slightly) but totally worth it. Again, it was a proud moment for the whole team. We also got an invitation for a day in Disneyland, LA. It was fun.
